In der long durational performance »circadian« schreibt sich Em Krallmann in den Kontext des alten botanischen Gartens Kiel. Dieser bietet der kalligrafischen Praxis von Em Krallmann den Ort der kulturellen Vermischung, Archivierung und des Werdens. In den bisherigen Performances geht es um die Präsenz der Bewegung, also die Geste des Schreibens. In der Verbindung zwischen dieser kalligrafischen Praxis mit dem botanischen Garten kehrt die Performance »circadian« in einen meditativen Rhythmus ein, dem Ein- und Ausatmen: Werden und Werden und und und

Da, wo Zeit und Zeitpunkt ineinander fallen, fließt der Sand durch den Rhythmus. Da, wo jeder Zug ins Perfekte neigt, stehen wir wieder am Anfang. Da, wo Ritual Kultur verwebt, schwebt ein stilles Werden.

Where time and moment coincide, the sand flows through the rhythm. Where every move tends towards perfection, we are back at the beginning. Where ritual interweaves culture, a silent becoming hovers.

In the long durational performance „circadian“, Em Krallmann writes themself into the context of the old botanical garden in Kiel. This offers Em Krallmann’s calligraphic practice a place of cultural mixing, archiving and becoming. Previous performances have focused on the presence of movement, i.e. the gesture of writing.
